CELEBRATE, LOVE, EMPATHIZE, SHARE
In 2010, and entering my 53rd year, I found myself at a turning point. Mourning the loss of my youth and, at the same time, being more confident and poised than I've ever been. Saddened that I'd never found true love with a man and, yet, finding the warm love of new girlfriends who believe in me and love me for who I am. Not who I am pretending to be or want to be, but who I am.
Sure, I've had girlfriends, but much of my youth was spent looking for the love of a man to complete me. I realize now, of course, that isn't possible. The love of friends, particularly at this stage of life brings me a great amount of joy.
I realize that I've spent an inordinate amount of time reflecting on the past. While we can learn lessons from the past; too much looking back can only leave us "stuck" there and move forward we must. Re-invent. Move forward.
Another change has been the physical and emotional roller coaster of menopause. Please feel free to share in the blog section, the good, the bad, advice, encouragement for all of those who visit.
I'll be sharing my anti-aging (or should I say embracing aging?) journey, physical and spiritual. No holds barred. We'll talk about what works and what doesn't.
So let's take the journey together, my friends. Let this be a place of friendship, love, support, joy, fresh ideas and most of all, laughter. God, I love to laugh. This place will evolve as we do.
