What is your background?

I was blessed to spend the last 25+ years in the education field. To me, education isn’t about cramming facts and ideas into the students, but helping them look critically at a situation, then learning to ask questions.  When we give people the information they are looking for, they are able to make quality decisions.

Throughout my career, I discovered the importance of  making people feel seen, heard and valued. Whether it was a student, a parent, or a teacher, I found that everyone has a need to connect with others. My career involved a lot of writing and speaking which I used to build those connections and relationships. When we genuinely connect with people, trust follows.

What are your qualifications as a copywriter?

When I was an undergrad at California State University at Stanislaus and again as a graduate student at Virginia Commonwealth University, I was able to add writing and marketing classes in my coursework. To build on that foundation, I took advanced professional courses in copywriting.

AWAI – I have completed training with AWAI (American Writers and Artists Inc), which is the country’s preeminent copywriting training organization. I have completed courses on Accelerated Copywriting, Advanced Copywriting, Copywriter’s Initiative, Web Copywriting 2.0, Web Copy Apprentice, WordPress, B2B Copywriting, Social Media Marketing, Email Newsletters, SEO Copywriting, Writing for the Health Market, and others. I am a member of AWAI’s Circle of Success and a member of the Professional Writer’s Alliance.

What kinds of projects do you handle?

I am known for providing clear, compelling copy that educates the customer and leads them to take action. I also believe that each project should be used to develop a relationship between the business and new customer or to strengthen the already established relationship.

Do you offer consulting services?

Yes, I offer both marketing strategy and planning. This is important if you are developing a new site for your company, a new product or service, or a new campaign for an existing product or service. My ability to really listen to clients and get to the heart of the matter, to see your needs in fresh ways, and to fine tune your existing copy truly sets me apart.

How long does it take to complete a project?

That really depends on a number of factors, such as the scope of the project, the amount of research needed, the availability of your subject-matter experts, and obligations to other projects already on the schedule. That’s why we begin the process with an initial consultation, a copywriting questionnaire and a proposal to ensure we can set a deadline that works for both of us.

What does it cost to hire you for a project?

My actual estimate will depend on the scope of the project, the background information provided and the time constraints.

What if we need to revise the final draft?

My fee includes two rounds of revisions, provided they are requested within 30 days of your receipt of the final draft, and are not based on a change in the initial assignment.
